His Residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowships in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology were completed at Duke University Medical Center where he was distinguished as Assistant Chief Resident of Internal Medicine and Chief Fellow at Duke Clinical Research Institute.
3-ingredient Fruit Dip
(protein packed &no sugar added)

1 cup of Zero Sugar Cool Whip
2 tbs of Greek Yogurt -low fat or no fat (no sugar added, plain or vanilla flavored)
2 tbs of PB2 peanut butter powder
(PB2 has less fat and fewer calories than peanut butter) -
Optional:
Substitute PB2 peanut butter powder with 2 tbs of sugar free vanilla (or cheesecake) instant pudding Mix all ingredients in medium bowl. Cover and chill in refrigerator for 1 hour. Just a few tablespoons of this fruit dip pairs well with apple slices or your favorite fruit. Unused mixture
can be stored in refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Health Tips from Dr. East...
Good Fats:
Sounds like an oxymoron but replacing saturated fats with unsaturated fats can help lower bad cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Here’s a few of my favorite choices:
Fish: Choose fatty or oily fish like albacore tuna or salmon to get essential omega-3 fatty acids.
Oils: Use extra virgin olive oil or avocado oil when cooking instead of vegetable oil or peanut oil. I love a
drizzle of extra virgin olive oil on my salads.
Nuts: Choose nuts instead of chips at snack time. Almonds are one of my favorites
